About.

Hello, my name is Kerri.

Who?

I'm a British web developer currently living in Somerset, England.

I've been making websites on-and-off for over 20 years. What started as a hobby became my main gig a few years ago.

Before going full-time as a web developer, I worked in the music industry as a record label manager. I've also worked as a games journalist, radio presenter, club DJ and even one time as a cocktail barman.

When not programming, I enjoy public speaking, writing, podcasting, DJing, making cocktails, video editing, tennis and collecting music.

Why?

I always want to create honest, well-designed bespoke websites and emails from scratch. I use a variety of tools, frameworks and languages to achieve this goal.

I like to keep my email inbox at zero. I review all of my projects weekly to ensure my next steps are clear. I hit my deadlines by maintaining a thorough to-do list and promptly addressing any blockers.

When I can, I'll work on something special for a friend, family member or colleague. Most of my side-projects are open source and publicly available on GitHub.

Where?

Web Developer, Opia Ltd.

June 2016 – November 2017, April 2018 – Current.

I work full-time at Opia. We run promotions, competitions and giveaways for some of the world's leading brands.

At Opia, I champion leading frontend tech and design to build responsive, dynamic web applications for our clients. I also regularly create responsive email campaigns.

Our clients include Google, LG, Microsoft, HP, Dell, Huawei, Samsung, Lenovo and more.

Kerri is a very talented developer with a wide breadth of skills across the entire stack, including PHP, MySQL and front end. He has all the traits that I look for in a developer, such as attention to detail and the ability to learn new concepts quickly.

Andy Tait (Head of Development at Opia Ltd).

Lead Frontend Developer, Drew London.

November 2017 – February 2018.

I used PHP (WordPress), Blade (Shopify), SASS & Javascript to instigate HiDPI, responsive, pixel-perfect websites for their clients. I worked primarily for clients Drugsline, Emmy London & STL Partners.

Kerri is very thorough, quick to find issues when they arise and was great at communicating about the status of each project he was working on.

Emily Jackson (Project Manager at Drew London).

Web Designer / Developer, Sleeky Web Design & Print.

February 2016 – May 2016

I built websites from end-to-end: designing them in Photoshop, then building with PHP (often WordPress or Opencart), CSS & HTML. I also wrote blog posts and SEO copy for the agency and their clients.

Kerri has been a pleasure to work with!
